Dear Valued Patients:

We hope that this letter finds you and your family in good health. We are excited to return to work and to see everyone that we have missed. We have all been through so many changes in the past few months, but our commitment to your safety and excellent dental care has not changed.

We are reopening on June 2, and we have put some new systems and protocols in place to ensure the safety of both our patients and our wonderful team members. You will see some changes in our commitment to everyone’s safety.

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice. Our office follows the infection control recommended by the American Dental Association®, U. S Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, as well as the Washington State Occupational Safety and Health Administration. We will continue to follow the most strict and rigorous disinfection and sterilization protocols, along with disinfecting commonly touched surfaces on a regular basis.

We will be taking your temperature upon your arrival; if your temperature is above 100.4, we will reschedule your appointment. Dr. Hussey and all staff will also take temperatures twice per day. If any staff member has higher then 100.4, they will leave the clinic.

Our office will have communication with you to assess for COVID-19 risk factors and symptoms. You will be asked some screening questions upon confirmation of your appointment and again at your appointment time in our office. These same questions will be asked of our doctor and staff each day as well. Anyone with an answer indicating recent exposure to someone with the virus will be rescheduled after 14 days.

We ask that only the patient being treated come into the office. If the patient is a child, we ask that only one parent or guardian enter with the child, and only the patient will be allowed in the treatment area.

You will see that our reception room will no longer offer magazines, children’s toys, coffee and snack bar, and there are fewer chairs to allow for more thorough disinfection and distancing.

We have many appointments to reschedule, and we look forward to calling you soon! If you need an appointment, have an emergency or have a question, please call our office and leave a message, and we will return your call. We will not have regular business hours until June 2.

Thank for your patience and understanding as we move toward a smooth reopening of our practice. We are still dedicated to providing you with outstanding care. We appreciate your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming you back into our practice. In the meantime, be safe and healthy!

THANK YOU FOR BEING OUR PATIENT!

Sincerely,

Dr. George Hussey and Team
